Italian owner d’Amico appears to have secured a firm price for two of its oldest bulkers — the Shanghai Shipyard Co-built, 37,000-dwt Cielo di Monfalcone and Cielo di Vancouver (both built 2002) — which are said to have fetched $12m each.

Online platform VesselsValue.com says the vessels are worth just $9.9m apiece.

TradeWinds was unable to obtain comments from the Milan-listed owner.

Some say the duo have gone to a German owner but it appears the Cielo di Vancouver has already been renamed Silverfjord and is in the fleet of a company called Alcmene in Singapore. A deal could have taken place in July.
