SGX-listed SSC has signed up for the vessel after securing a long-term charter.
In a statement to investors, the owner does not reveal the identity of the charterer or the yard at which the newbuilding will be put together.
The company presently owns three car carriers, two built in the 1990s and one launched in 2011.
