When the shipbuilder entered administration in August, 70 people lost their jobs with immediate effect.

Clyde Blowers Capital has already re-hired 30 of them, with a further 40 under contract to start in mid-November.

Its chairman Jim McColl has revealed plans to invest £8m ($13m) and employ up to 300 staff in the long term.

He also said the focus of the business would be switched to fabrication in the marine, oil and gas and renewables sector.
