The yard announced a deal for a 21,000-dwt ship earlier this week, without revealing the owner.
BigRoll confirmed to TradeWinds it was behind the deal.
The original order was for two vessels at Dalian, for delivery in May 2015 and August 2016.
The third ship will be handed over in the second quarter of 2016.
The MC-class module carriers will carry ultra large and heavy modular cargoes.
