Greek shipbrokers report that the Piraeus-based owner has paid $9.5m for the 6,980-dwt Trefin Leader (built 2007).
Shipping databases show that the vessel has already been renamed the Eviapetrol V.
VesselsValue.com, the ship valuation website of UK shipbroker SeaSure Shipping, lists the vessel as worth $8.7m. The ship was built at Turkey’s Marmara Tersanesi shipyard.
As its new name implies, the vessel becomes the fifth ship in the fleet of Evia Petrol.
