Scorpio Tankers is tipped to have boosted its owned LR2 fleet with the purchase of two newbuildings from a private equity-backed joint-venture.
Brokers says the 114,900-dwt duo Flagship Rose and Flagship Dahlia have been snapped up by the New York-listed owner.
A price of between $58m and $59.5m is being placed on the ships, which are set for delivery from Daehan early next year.
