The Havyard 843-design ships are due for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2016.
A spokesperson from the company’s market and business development segment declined to disclose the name of the buyer when contacted by TradeWinds.
As an active player in the arctic area, Havyard said even more opportunities will open up there in the future.
Tor Leif Mongstad, Havyard’s executive vice-president for sales, said: “When we signed a contract last year we had great expectations of the market in the arctic and the new contracts show our strategy has been the correct one.”
