Shenzhen-listed Sainty sold the ships to Corbita as resales in April. It did not disclose details of the transactions but said construction of two of the 64,000-dwt ships had been completed. The remaining two newbuildings are expected to be completed soon.
All of the vessels are being built by Sainty's subsidiary company Sainty Shipbuilding in Yangzhou.
Sainty declared the contract with Corbita to be null and void, claiming that the buyer did not fulfil contract obligations.
