Mumbai-based Sea Lion’s 65,100-dwt The Benefactor (built 1986) has been sold for demolition domestically.
Sources are placing a price of $435 per ldt on the ship.
This works out at $4.11m for the vessel, which was sold with over 300 tons of bunkers on board.
VesselsValue.com lists Sea Lion with two other bulkers in its fleet, a panamax and a handymax both built in the 1990s.
