Reinhold Schmid-Sperber said in a statement: "The negotiations with potential investors for the ship are still not finalised. To give guests and distribution partners planning security, we have now decided to take this step."
Customers will receive a refund, while the administrator also said 48 Deilmann workers will have their contracts terminated soon. Another 30 staff are safe for now.
"I regret this step very personally," added Schmid-Sperber.
