Fearnley Offshore Supply said the 1,100-dwt Altus Exertus (built 1980) was acquired by Marine Enginerring and Diving Services (MES) in a deal worth $15.75m after the charterer declared a purchase option.
MEDS then sold the ship to a Pareto Project Finance fund.
It has taken the vessel back on a bareboat basis for three years at $9,500 per day.
MEDS has another purchase option at the end of the contract to acquire the unit for $10m.
