The 493-passenger catamaran will be the fourth vessel built at the Duclos-owned yard for the New England operator, Maritime Global News reported.
It will provide a year-round service between Hyannis and Nantucket Island.
The aluminium ship is set for delivery in 2016.
It will be 47 metres long and will have a top speed of more than 30 knots.
