The owner, which is resurrecting its newbuilding programme, said its board had agreed a memorandum of understanding for three anchor-handlers and two platform supply vessels (PSVs) at the domestic yard.
It has been selling off veteran offshore ships in recent months.
Prices have yet to be finalised.
TradeWinds reported earlier this year that the owner was set to order again, after cancelling contracts and halting its fleet renewal programme in 2011.
