Henry Liddell, chief executive of Icap Shipping, revealed in a note to customers this evening the duo will seal the deal tomorrow.
Liddell said the new brokerage will carry the name Howe Robinson Partners and will be headquartered in Singapore.
Howe Robinson boss Peter Kerr-Dineen will serve as chairman, while Liddell will head the tanker division, George Hulse containers and Guy Hindley the dry cargo arm.
