A triple capesize buy from Scorpio Bulkers in the past week saw Angelicoussis spend $132m on three resales, as TradeWinds online was first to report.
Shipbrokers identified the vessels changing hands as the 180,000-dwt SBI Perfecto, SBI Presidente and SBI Churchill with well-placed sources guiding that the ships fetched $44m each.
Data provided to TradeWinds by VesselsValue.com shows that the Scorpio deal is the first time since the middle of 2009 that Angelicoussis has bought bulkers from a rival shipowner.
