Local newspaper Globo reports that 450 workers of the shipyard were dismissed last Thursday and they were added to the 350 people that were made redundant in March.
EAS is one of the shipyards that have been involved in bribery allegations following the huge Petrobras scandal that is still under investigation.
And it is not the only shipyard that has chosen to fire staff.
