The Japanese shipowner said the “Flexie” eco-vessels will be delivered in 2017 and 2018 and serve on worldwide routes. No price has been given.
Decks will be increased to 14, compared to 12 on current vessels, and there were will also be six decks that can be raised, against two presently.
This offers greater flexibility in accommodating vehicles of different heights, improving loading efficiency and meeting demand for more diversified vehicle transport, MOL said.
