Yangzijiang Shipbuilding has secured a $626m payday after completing deals for 11 newbuildings in the fourth quarter.
The Ren Yuanlin-led shipyard has inked contracts for four boxships of 11,800 teu, a pair of 1,668-teu containerships, two 29,800-dwt self-unloading vessels and a trio of 83,500-dwt combination carriers (OBOs).
However, the termination of an 82,000-dwt bulker newbuilding - a deal that has been replaced by the three OBOs – tapers the order tally to 10 vessels.
