US owner Stabbert Maritime Holdings has boosted its fleet by buying a pipelay vessel from Technip.
The 6,800-dwt Deep Constructor (built 1980) becomes its sixth ship, Clarksons said.
Stabbert, based in Seattle, operates a fleet including research ships.
