It has emerged that Hyundai Mipo Dockyard won South Korean shipbuilders' only new order last month.
Brokers said it will build a 50,000-dwt MR for an unknown owner for delivery in November 2017.
The vessel was contracted on 31 January, but no price was given.
It had appeared that Korean yards had failed to win any new business in January in the shipping slump.
