Havyard has added an experienced engineer to its team as it looks to boost its research and development (R&D) activities.
Kristian Steinsvik will take the helm at the Norwegian shipbuilder's new R&D initiative, under which different parts of Havyard will be brought together to seek new opportunities.
Steinsvik said: “We are already engaged in development work but we will be now bringing our developers together in a joint group to encourage more interdisciplinary and long-term thinking.”
