An agreement that could see Nigerian owners bring in 40 ships from Greece is in danger because of a lack of cabotage work for the vessels.

Nigeria's National Mirror cited the Nigerian Ship Owners Association (NISA) as saying domestic owners have failed to secure work.

The deal was announced last July and is worth a potential $250m.

Owners would bring in vessels from Greece on bareboat charters.
