Bankrupt tanker firm Primorsk International Shipping wants to retain Clarksons Platou to broker the sale of nine vessels in order to satisfy creditors demands.

In a Friday court filing, attorneys representing the Russian firm filed an application setting forth the terms of Clarksons Platou’s employment in the sale of the ice-class ships.

The ships include two 104,500-dwt aframax tankers, the Zaliv Amurskiy and Zaliv Amerika (both built 2008); two long-range-two (LR2) product tankers, the Zaliv Baikal and Zaliv Vostok (both built 2009); and five medium-range (MR) products tankers, the Prisco Elena, the Prisco Elizaveta, the Prisco Irina (all built 2009), the Prisco Alexandra, and the Prisco Ekaterina (both built 2008).
