A new giant German yard grouping has been formed after Hong Kong cruise operator Genting Group completed the EUR 230.6m ($259m) takeover of Nordic Yards.
Genting said it had merged Nordic Yards with Bremerhaven-based Lloyd Werft which it acquired in January this year.
The new company will be called Lloyd Werft Group and is set to become a cruise shipbuilding mega-yard on the back of orders from its parent company.
