Despite previous reports to the contrary, Greece’s Thenamaris has not yet proceeded with its first tanker sale in five years.
According to reliable sources, the company has sold neither the medium-range 39,600-dwt product tanker Searambler (built 2001) nor the 46,000-dwt Seaexpress (built 2007), as reports and market rumours over the past few months suggested.
The Hyundai Mipo-built Searambler was said to have been sold in early March for more than $11m to Middle Eastern buyers.
