Reederi Johann Blumenthal is reported to have sold a 19-year-old capesize bulk carrier for $74m.
Brokers report Friday that the German bulker owner is selling the 150,000-dwt Madalene (ex-Coppet, built 1989).
The buyer is undisclosed.
Blumenthal purchased the vessel in 2006 for an undisclosed price.
TradeWinds reports in this week’s print edition that Blumenthal also is attempting to sell the 73,000-dwt bulker Carola (built 1997).
