Dutch owner Jumbo Shipping has ordered the most powerful heavy-lift ship ever at Brodosplit in Croatia.
The 152.60-metre-long vessel will have two 1,100-tonne cranes.
“To be able to work in arctic regions, the vessel is to be built under ice class,” Jumbo said.
Delivery should be in March 2013 and is a major boost for the struggling Croatian shipyard industry.
There is also the option for a second ship at Brodosplit.
