The minister in charge of a major shipbuilding programme is pledging greater oversight of Canadian shipyards in the face of rising costs and possible project cancellations.
In a speech at a Canadian trade show, Judy Foote says her agency is creating a cabinet committee, adding staff and starting other measures in an effort to better track spending on the country’s National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS).
