Dae Sun Shipbuilding has secured a newbuilding order for two 6,500-dwt chemical product carriers from Heung-A Shipping.
The eco-friendly high efficiency vessels are due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2018. No financial details were disclosed.
With this latest order the South Korean shipbuilder now has an order backlog stretching to 18 vessels stretching until late 2018.
Earlier this month Dae Sun won a newbuilding order from domestic shipowner HNCC for a 3,500-dwt tanker.
