Huawei Offshore has bought an anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel from Trico Marine, TradeWinds is told.

Hong Kong-based Huawei paid around $15m for the 170-tbp Northern Challenger (built 1992), brokers say.
The Northern Challenger is one of two support vessels offloaded by Trico last month in a $40m deal.
Brokers say the other vessel is the 4,496-dwt Northern Clipper (built 1994), which market chatter suggests has been bought by an Indian company.
Great Offshore is the main name in the frame, but well placed sources say the PSV would be an “odd fit” for the Bombay listed firm.
A reported $25m price tag for the Northern Clipper is in line with what Farstad paid for the 3,600-dwt Sical Torino (built 2006) last month.
Brokers say both the Northern Challenger and Northern Clipper appear to have been taken at bargain prices.
“The market is not the best for any offshore vessels as buyers are waiting to get a bargain,” one leading broker said.
Huawei owns 11 other anchor handlers and has a fleet of nearly 20 offshore vessels.
