Vietnamese state shipowner Vinalines is selling out of a shipyard company as part of its new divestment plan.
It has submitted its proposal to exit Vinalines Shipyard Company (VNLSY) to the ministry of transport.
The owner believes the 88.6% stake is worth VND 262.5bn ($11.9m).
But a sale will bring in only $3.7m, according to the ATC Auditing and Valuation Company.
Vinalines wants to transfer the slice to Vietnam Maritime Development (Vimadeco), the Vian website said.
