Korea's biggest three shipbuilders are expected to post improved results for 2016 through cost-cutting in the order slump.
Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), DSME and Samsung Heavy Industries are estimated to have turned their performances around last year after posting their worst ever losses in 2015.
The Yonhap news agency cited industry sources as saying their positive results will be due to cost cuts through redundancies and asset sales, however.
