As part of a workforce consolidation exercise, Sembcorp Marine has been reallocating excess manpower from drilling to non-drilling work. Engineering capabilities for new sectors it is branching into are being enhanced with retraining and upgrading of skills, along with selective recruiting of new employees with expertise in these fields.
