Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) are joining forces on vessel monitoring.
The shipowner and shipyard said they will jointly develop next-generation support systems based on real-time data.
This will include information from navigation and machinery acquired by equipment produced by MES.
"Short-cycle data and big data will also be analysed from various aspects," the companies said.
