Fincantieri claims that the potential loss of a deal to work on a Saudi Navy order could lead it to shut one of its US shipyards.
In a lawsuit filed in Washington DC aimed at salvaging its role in the project, the Italian shipbuilder says it has a teaming agreement with Lockheed Martin that should guarantee its role as subcontractor to build a series of ships known as multi-mission surface combatants (MMSCs).
