France has confirmed that Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri will finally be allowed to take control of STX France.
The office of French president Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday that Fincantieri will effectively take a 51% stake in the cruiseship yard, ending a row over ownership.
This will be achieved through it buying 50% and then the French state lending it another 1%.
