Hyundai Heavy Industries is joining the growing exhaust gas emissions scrubber manufacturing business.
South Korea’s largest shipbuilding company has developed a rectangular-type SOx scrubber that will allow vessels to meet the incoming IMO regulations. The shipyard began marketing the product early this month.
HHI is offering both bypass (B-type) and in-line (I-type) design scrubbers with the latter more suited for complex vessels such as cruiseships.
