Eastern Pacific Shipping’s newbuilding appetite has turned to LPG carriers, with the Idan Ofer-controlled company ordering a pair of midsize LPG ships at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD).

The contract brings Eastern Pacific's orderbook to 14 vessels.

Shipbuilding sources said the Singapore-based shipping company has booked two 38,000-cbm, fully-refrigerated gas carriers. It is scheduled to take delivery of one vessel near the end of 2019 and the other in mid-2020.
