An independent committee overseeing DSME is backing Jung Sung-leep for another three-year term as its CEO.
It has relayed its decision to the Korean shipbuilder's major shareholder, Korea Development Bank, a committee member told the Yonhap news agency.
A board meeting at DSME is expected to endorse the recommendation.
