The Technip Offshore Finland (TOF) shipyard is laying off all its workers.
The plant, based in Pori, has not yet decided whether the move is temporary or permanent however, YLE reported.
Offshore specialist TOF has 476 workers and blamed a lack of new orders for the lay-offs.
It said some staff will be off work for a fixed period, while others will stay at home indefinitely.
