An affiliate of Idan Ofer-led Eastern Pacific Shipping is booking a series of eight products tankers at Estaleiro Atlantico Sul (EAS), a rare foreign order for the Brazilian shipyard.
And the company has signed a letter of intent for five additional suezmax crude tankers at the yard near Recife.
The deal comes after Eastern Pacific's South American Tanker Co Navegacao (Satco) garnered financial backing from a government fund to spend BRL 2.29bn
