Greek owner Stealth Maritime is in the process of selling one of its aframax tankers.

The 105,300-dwt Eagle Stealth (built 2001) is understood to have been committed on subjects.

A price of $11.8m has been agreed for the Sumitomo-built tanker, shipbroking sources say.

The identity of the buyer is not yet clear, beyond the likely new owner being from Asia.

The tanker has been a good investment for Stealth Maritime, which contracted the ship as a newbuilding and has enjoyed stable income from successive long-term contracts.
