Brightoil Petroleum has returned to profit in the first half of 2016 on the back of stronger sales at its petroleum products trading arm.
The tanker owner and bunker company has reported an interim profit of HKD 412m ($53m) versus the loss of HKD 523m seen last year.
Revenue at the Hong Kong-listed company was up 44% year-on-year to HKD 31.2bn. However, costs rose by a similar level to HKD 30bn.
