V.Group has secured a breakthrough deal in the Russian market, taking over full technical management of an RPK Nord VLCC.
It follows the Russian Register’s accreditation of its St.Petersburg office.
The world’s largest shipmanager says the 300,000-dwt Umba (ex Sasa; built 2001) will be the first Russian flagged vessel on its books under full technical management.
Alex Halavins of V.Group said in a statement: “This occasion is a celebration of teamwork and partnership – not only within our own business but with our clients and their customers as well as the shipping authorities.”
