John Fredriksen’s Ship Finance International (SFI) has fetched a firm price for the Kawasaki built 302,000-dwt tanker Front Scilla (built 2000).
The ship has been sold to Nigerian interests for $21.5m. UK based online platform VesselsValue says the ship, which is on charter to Fredriksen’s Frontline, is only worth $18.4m.
The tanker, which is due for special survey in March 2020, is understood to be earmarked for conversion.
