Knutsen bags Chevron high-spec suezmax

Norway’s Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT) has bought a high specification suezmax tanker from energy major Chevron.

TradeWinds understands KNOT paid $90m for the so-called Pascagoula-max,  153,684-dwt Brasil Voyager (built 2013).

Those following the business say the sale is part of Chevron’s efforts to divest some of its assets in Brazil.

KNOT declines to confirm the purchase of the Brasil Voyager.
