Teekay's chief executive says spinoff Teekay Tankers is in poised to take advantage of a recovery as the tanker market bottom approaches.
Kenneth Hvid made the prediction during an annual meeting for New York-listed Teekay Tankers' shareholders as it works to finalise a deal to take over group affiliate Tanker Investments Ltd and the remainder of the Teekay Corp management arm, making it the largest publicly listed owner of midsize tankers.
