Hellespont Group appears to have trimmed its tanker fleet, according to brokers.
Multiple brokers’ reports suggest that the Papachristidis family-controlled company has sold three tankers for $40m to $42m.
The vessels that have reportedly been offloaded are the 74,821-dwt Hellespont Protector, the 73,669-dwt Hellespont Promise (both built 2007) and the 73,727-dwt Hellespont Pride (built 2006).
A representative of the Hamburg-based company declined to comment.
