Greece’s Salmar Shipping is continuing its slow but steady expansion drive, returning its fleet to the size it was about 10 years ago.
Director Steve Salonitis confirms the purchase of the 20,000-dwt chemical tanker Pine Galaxy (built 2004), which changed hands earlier this month.
Salonitis declines to comment on the price, citing confidentiality agreements, but Japanese interests are said to have sold the Pine Galaxy for about $12.8m.
