Trading and shipping giant Vitol is trying to gain 100% control of Riga tanker owner Latvian Shipping Company (LSC).
Its Vitol Netherlands unit acquired a 19.62% stake for $20m in June, which, when added to Vitol terminals company Ventspils Nafta's holding of 49.94%, gave the group a 69.56% slice.
The OMX Baltic stock exchange lists the group as having 70.75% at 30 June.
